Dr. Sanjula Jain is a health economist and strategic advisor working with C-suite and senior executive leadership teams of healthcare organizations including the nation’s largest health systems and health plans, Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and medical device companies and digital health companies to leverage data-driven insights to accelerate organizational growth. She is the Senior Vice President of Market Strategy and Chief Research Officer at Trilliant Health, an organization that combines healthcare industry expertise, market research and predictive analytics to develop Evidence-Based Strategy for Healthcare.™

Sanjula is the author of the book The New Health Economy: Ground Rules for Leaders and serves on the Faculty of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine teaching courses in digital health entrepreneurship and population health care delivery. She speaks frequently on trends shaping the health economy and publishes new findings through her weekly publication, The Compass, and formal Trend Reports.

Sanjula is a founding member of the Advisory Council for Her Story, an audio/video podcast that explores the leadership possibilities for women in healthcare. Sanjula previously served in executive roles in research and advisory and governance education for The Health Management Academy, where she led market research services designed to inform strategy for executives of the nation’s largest integrated delivery systems and their industry partners. She was a health economist for value acceleration programs within the Office of Quality and Risk at Emory Healthcare and taught graduate level and continuing education courses in health economics, health services research methods and health policy at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

Her research has been published in prominent journals such as Health Affairs, JAMA, The American Journal of Managed Care, and The Journal of Healthcare Management. Her work is frequently cited by industry publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CNN, Business Insider, STAT and Modern Healthcare, to name a few. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology with a Distinction in Research & Creative Work from Rice University and a Ph.D. in Health Services Research & Health Policy, with a concentration in Economics, from Emory University.
